Baby Gender DNA Testing

Baby gender DNA testing using just a sample of maternal blood collected by means of a simple finger prick. This test can be done at just 9 weeks of pregnancy and is 95% accurate. It is currently the most accurate method for baby gender testing and can be carried out earlier than other tests for baby gender prediction. Sample collection is done by means of a home kit which contains a medical finger lancet and special absorbent paper as well as instructions on how to use the lancet.

The test works by analysis of foetal DNA in maternal blood samples using polymerase chain reaction or PCR. If the analysis confirms the presence of the Y chromosome in the blood sample, the mother is expecting a boy. In the absence of the Y chromosome, the baby is a girl.
